Can I just use my own mobile phone or do I need to purchase or rent an additional device?

You just need a mobile phone to use CityTourbyCall. You can use it any time you wish. No other technical devices are necessary.

If I didn't understand a particular commentary, can I listen to it again?

Yes. There is no limit to the amount of times you can listen to a commentary. You may listen as often as you like.

Are there any additional costs?

Once you activate the service with your access code you will be able to listen to all commentaries for 2 months by simply dialling the CityTourbyCall land-line number found in the pack of cards. You will only be charged the connection fee* for local calls set by your service provider. There are no additional costs.

* Prices start at 2 cents per minute from German landlines and 9 cents per minute from German mobile networks. Charges are generally included in the price for users with mobile phone flat-rate calling plans within Germany. Prices set by foreign service providers may vary.

How much will it cost if I have a contract with a foreign service provider?

When you use CityTourbyCall through a foreign service provider, you may be subject to roaming fees charged by your provider. Unfortunately, we have no influence over these fees or how they are charged. Within the EU, roaming fees have been limited to 59 cents per minute since June 2007.

Therefore we have special package for our foreign visitors: The CityTourbyCall set plus a Vodafone pre paid mobile phone including SIM-card and a credit worth EUR 5,-. The complete package at only EUR 21,95.

Do I have to listen to the commentaries in a particular order?

No. You are free to choose what you would like to listen to and in which order. Each commentary is dedicated to a particular sight or historic event in the city. Each one is complete by itself and can also be heard individually, allowing you to create a personalised tour.

Will my personal information be kept on record?

In order for us to provide you with our full service, your personal access code and telephone number will be saved during your first call to CityTourbyCall. We do this so you only have to enter this information once. No other personal information is saved. After the 2-month period of use is over, your telephone number will be deleted.
